We are pleased to support a well-established packaging distribution company in its search for an Accountant.
As part of the Group’s ongoing development, the successful candidate will assist the Group Finance Manager in managing a portfolio of companies.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Processing accounts payable invoices and bank transactions
- Preparing customer invoices and monitoring incoming payments
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements
- Contributing to the preparation of various tax returns and related annexes, including VAT and corporate income tax returns
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, including a Graduate Diploma in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a commercial or industrial environment
- Proficient in MS Office tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Navision is a strong advantage (knowledge of other accounting software will also be considered)
- Fluent in French with a good command of English; knowledge of Dutch and/or German would be a strong asset
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills; proactive, rigorous, dynamic and capable of working autonomously
- Solid knowledge of Luxembourgish and Belgian GAAP
- Familiarity with Luxembourgish taxation and VAT is considered an asset
